Here's some of my recent work.
My management of a range of editorial processes and projects for director Jodi Spargur has helped Red Clover increase its reach and given Jodi more opportunities to connect directly with communities in need of her support. We’ve produced a promotional video, published new resources, built new platforms, and streamlined her approach to communications.
“Lucas is a talented project manager with the ability to both keep things moving and adjust expectations when unexpected bumps inevitably come along. I have always felt like Lucas listens hard in order to amplify the vision and voice of my organization, offering his expertise, but never imposing. Working with Lucas has felt like ‘levelling up’ and has been a real joy along the way.”

Anika, a first-time author, had written a moving memoir of her time working and living at Kinbrace, a not-for-profit community that welcomes refugees with housing, education, and support. I provided frameworks for collaborative self-publishing, helping Anika and Kinbrace clarify their vision and maximize the benefits of this new resource, for both author and organization.

I co-managed a hope-filled weekend of events featuring the live music of Ordinary Time. I oversaw promotions, designed and administered participant logistics (including tickets and donations), ensured clear understanding of responsibilities among all contributors, and gathered feedback to inform and inspire future initiatives.
for POIEO Centre
To advance POIEO Centre’s mission of supporting artists and art-making, I manage a range of initiatives and tasks, including shaping POIEO’s flagship mentorship program, promoting artists and creative projects through original content, and providing updates to key stakeholders. As associate producer and story editor for the Liturgy Care Film Series, my focus has been on promoting incisive, inclusive teaching.
Creative Empowerment
Bobbi Salkeld and her colleagues had a vision for a printed collection of prayers, curated from their social media posts. I coached Bobbi through her responsibilities as editor-in-chief, empowering her to produce a new resource: a beautiful, physical representation of pandemic perseverance in her community.
Workshop and White paper
Leaders in finding and developing talent, Smart, Savvy wanted to broaden access to their expertise and add substance to their marketing through original educational forms. I provided writing, research, and editorial consultation for a full-day workshop and this white paper on coaching in the workplace.
During an exciting season of transition and expansion, John Knox Christian School sought to galvanize its community around the unifying values of its past, present, and future. Co-directed with Coracle Marketing and filmmaker Duncan Ris, our videos clarified and reinforced the school’s identity for both current and prospective staff and families.
“I have been impressed with Lucas’ thoughtfulness, responsiveness, and organization. His editorial work has improved the focus, clarity, and impact of our videos, which have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. It has been a joy to work with Lucas and I appreciate the talent and effort he brings to his work.”

Publishing
The community that wrote these daily prayers had been keen to republish the booklet for many years, but they lacked the coordination and capacity needed to move forward. I facilitated the revision and redesign for a new edition, collaborating with artist Joy Banks, editor Karen Hollenbeck Wuest, and designer Steph Martens.
Designer and entrepreneur James Lim needed a communications and logistics specialist who understood, and could expand on, the unique value his lifestyle brand was offering a community of discerning hobbyists. For our successful launch, I helped James represent new connections between art, contemplation, virtuous living, and the keeping and breeding of freshwater ornamental dwarf shrimp!
Regent College’s communications department wanted to explore film as a medium for representing the depth and breadth of Regent’s work. I co-created this documentary short with filmmaker Duncan Ris, exploring the intersection of artistic vocation and faith.
“Working with Lucas was an incredible experience. Apart from being a non-anxious presence in the midst of deadlines and performances, Lucas was able to keep a diverse group of stakeholders informed and on task over several continents and time zones. He did this not with force but with consistent attention to detail, focus on purpose, and a clear delight in serving a greater goal.
What I have said to Lucas (and to others) is that I would like to have Lucas involved in any project that I am a part of. If you are looking to have your project launch well and reach more people you will benefit from having Lucas be a part of your team.”
